clouds

Clouds

Wild with passion, dark as evening
Those clouds wander high in the sky
Bringing memories of life’s morning
Those early childhood days, playing small spy

I spied on sparrows, crows and pigeons
Watching them from windows, eyes following their green regions
As one of their small-beings popped head out
I rejoiced seeing a family, mother feeding a hungry mouth
I spied on the ants, the peacocks, the cows
All seemed to be everywhere around my house

Then as the clouds draw near
I begin to hear
The bells of rejoicing times
Tingling like those copper wind chimes
Music transcending into times
Spent playing, crying loving and chanting hymns
Moments spent having those funny fights for mother’s lap
That’s now become a creek, a george, an unfilled gap

As the clouds pour down as rain
Water flows from my eyes down the drain
Wanting those lovable days back
When I had nothing to treasure, nothing to track

The ants

Aug 1, 2007

Disturbing those ants

Lying on my belly, I saw them marching in a line
Like small red Indians, they marched very fine
Busy as bee
But calm as sea
They marched ahead leaving small trails for friends to follow
As a little child, I swipe off the line, and next one loses its trail
Until it forms another queue, as if trains on rail
I smile seeing the tiny ones
Wishing myself to be one of them, those tiny ones
Experiencing the freedom to move around
Explore any pit
Bit by bit
Sometimes being high on a crest
Going hungry, in sun without rest
Other times feeling in a trough
Withered by time, hard and rough
And as they turn the corner of wall
As see them marching ahead. One and all.

My Baby

Baby

Baby and the world!!!!

As it moves around,
Kicking and gurgling,
Trying to reach world outside.

I can feel its impatience,
Its eagerness to have peek-a-boo into this colorful world,
Which is different from the calm waters inside.

I can feel the tiny hands and feet stretching out,
Savoring every moment watching people outside,

But my baby!
You may not find the people as loving as the calmness inside you
You may not find the peace you have now

My baby!
You may see dancing shadows of killers of sentiments
With daggers in their hands they slain every holy cow.

My baby!
You may see people running for things they can’t lay hands upon
You may see a crowd surging towards their past – in the years bygone.

My baby!
With your innocence so pure, your heart so pure
You’ll be born in a land so impure, so full of hatred.

Where people mask their ex-pressions
Bare others emotions
And enjoy the sadism of other lives’ commotion.

But my baby!
You will swim across all the difficult waters
And wade across the ocean of life
Though difficulties will stop your path.
I love you my baby.
I love you.

Anxious dreams

22:05 25/Oct/2007

Anxious dreams

Heart has its reasons
Reasons unknown to the mind
Reasons unknown to oneself

Dreams are a reflection of the inner thoughts
Of troublesome, tumultuous and peaceful thoughts

They travel all the way from heart
Of wishes left unfulfilled
Of hatred left misunderstood
Of emotions left high and dry

Tiny droplets of past
And that of present
Crystallize as dreams
Dwelling into heart’s deep realms

At times they are shallow, empty
Yet fulfilling
At time they are shady, murky
Yet quietening

Strange bedfellows they are
But of every person who has a WISH

Wait

22:14 1/Dec/2007

Wait

A wait too long
Turns days into ages
And ages into eras

Seconds that run into infinity
Birds flying towards horizon
Yet unable to reach it

A flight undertaken to reach
Where earth and sun meet
Ends with a whimper

Flights of fancy lost
When thoughts sublime
And soul sobs

A wait that stretches beyond deserts
Beyond unfathomable oceans

I am sorry baby
To let all my thoughts affect you
And now am waiting for you to come soon
So that I can hold you and feel sorry
For what people did to me
And what I passed on to you

Love you
Mummy
